Rated 5 out of 5 by from Regal 490 I have been using the grill for a few weeks now and am very happy with my choice of this model over the Weber grills I was considering. I am most happy with the ability to maintain a cooking temperature. My previous Frigidare grill was virtually impossible to maintain constant cooking temps. The grill is very easy to keep clean after each use which is also a plus for me. Assembly was not difficult as the picture instructions were fairly easy to follow. I recommend the careful use of a powered screw driver as some of the fasteners should be started by hand before tightened down with a powered driver. Also, if you are using a natural gas unit, be sure to confirm that you have the correct connections to your gas supply before starting assembly. I finished assembly and then needed to wait until Monday for the local gas vendor to open and buy a $2 part before we could actually use the grill.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Broil King 490 Critique I have been barbequing for over 50 years and owned 7 barbeques. Except for the work involved my old Habashi does the best steakes. As number two I would rate my 15 year old Model 552-14 Broil King with the ceramic briquetts and # 3 my new Broil King. I wish you would bring back the briquetts. The Broil King is at the cottage and a number of people have used it and the comments I get: " What a great Barbeque"! Yes, I had to replace burners and briquette racks but it just keeps motoring on and best of all it works well no matter what I barbeque. Turkeys, Chicken, Ribs, Hamburgers, Vegetables, Sausages and Fish.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this grill Grill lid seals much tighter than most grills, keeping heat in and air flow from outside to a minimum. this reduces flame up. temperature is easy to adjust and control. Again much better than my previous grills. Handle can get a little warm if you grill for a long time so you may need a bbq mit to open the lid. overall, an excellent grill.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Grill When my old gas grill died recently I started researching the internet for a new grill. I use my grill year round here in the mountains of western Maine and especially enjoy using a rear rotisserie burner for roast, chickens, and ribs. I found the Broil King grills and read the reviews and decided that this was the grill for me. I ordered the grill through a home improvement store and when it arrived in the store they called and offered to assemble it for me at no charge. Being December of course I accepted the offer. After getting the grill home and seasoning the cast iron grills I cooked our first steaks to perfection. This grill gets much hotter than any I have owned in the past and grills steaks perfectly. The following weekend I tried out the rotisserie but cooking a fairly large chicken. This rotisserie burner is a standard flame burner rather than an infrared burner and is therefore cooler than my previous grills and will take some getting used to regarding cooking times but otherwise works fine. I would prefer an infrared rear rotisserie burner but that is the only improvement I can think of. I have used the grill to cook steaks, burgersw, chicken, pork loins, and chops plus chickens, pork loin roasts, and spare ribs on the rotisserie and all have come out perfectly. I highly recommend this grill.
