Jalapeño Marinade


Due to the intense flavour, only a short marinating time is necessary. This is perfect for a quick but elegant after work dinner.

1/2 cup jalapeño jelly

1/3 cup onion, finely chopped

2 tbsp lime zest, grated

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 cup lime juice

1/4 cup olive oil

1/2 tsp ground cumin

dash salt and pepper


Dissolve the jalapeño jelly in a small sauce pan. Remove from heat. Combine the jelly, grated lime zest, lime juice, garlic, onion, and cumin in a blender or in the bowl of a food processor. With the motor running, drizzle in olive oil.

Marinate chicken or pork for 1 hour before grilling.
