Grilling a turkey on the barbecue, instead of the usual oven roasting, adds flavor, texture and character to an otherwise traditional menu item. Grilling also allows you to add another layer of flavor by adding smoke to the cooking environment. This video shows you two different methods to barbecue a turkey - on the rotisserie or directly on the grill. Note - we demonstrate direct grilling with a charcoal grill, but you can also follow this method on a gas grill. To guarantee best results, always use a meat thermometer to ensure food is cooked to the desired doneness. For Turkey breast meat should be cooked to 170°F and dark meat to 180°F.
